I brought that frame and forks in 2006 had it built in 2007 and its never been ridden! Still in NOS condition for one day that I feel is worthy of riding such a beautiful bike!
I now have many other Merckx bikes to ride whilst this one waits :) Glenn, New Zealand glennrewihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11010412383597322846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17091441.post-51724015995063821042016-03-05T15:05:59.808-05:002016-03-05T15:05:59.808-05:00Hi Jermemy, i have an 85 road frame (z-coded) pana...Hi Jermemy, i have an 85 road frame (z-coded) panasonic color scheme and a racing number eyelet. But it does not have a type designation on the left hand bracket side..It also has the old square-ish lettertype.. as i understood team panasonic started in 86. Most pictures i can find are from frames with the more rounded lettertype.. i guess this would be an early version. Frame is made from accaio speciale and does not have a type decal on drive side toptube.. can you help identifying?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08339653018942542137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17091441.post-25258694858864356342015-08-05T03:17:37.706-04:002015-08-05T03:17:37.706-04:00Interestingly enough (?), the Merckx frames that T...Interestingly enough (?), the Merckx frames that TeVe Blad was riding in 1986 seems to have had external brake routing, while those in 1987 had internal routing. No way I can tell you the original paint. It would have been available in just about any color scheme the owner wanted, so as long as its something you like, I wouldn't sweat it.

The track fork crowns usually don't have stampings. Later on they might, but the earlier ones never seem to. If you check on the fork, there may be a sticker that has the serial number that matches your frames - this would have been placed there by the factory.
-jJeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17461713472346310708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17091441.post-60345270894820267042009-10-08T04:49:04.666-04:002009-10-08T04:49:04.666-04:00Hello Jeremy,
